Tape gunk!

Post by MC1968 »

I stupidly used normal masking tape on a large section of a model!

When it came time to take it off, I ended up with bits of tape still on the model, and stick gunk everywhere.

Anyone know of a good way to get it off without removing the paint as well? ( I tried thinners and airbrush cleaner on a small section, and the bloody paint started coming off. :( )

Thanks.

I use lighter fluid on the end of a cotton bud. (Test before use as your mileage may vary!)

Really? Lighter fluid?
I'll give it a go.

To answer an earlier question; just aibrushed Tamiya acrylics.

Thanks.
