Another Lurker Emerges from the Shadows

Hi All.

Like many on here I used to build kits many years ago and have recently come back to the hobby in the last couple of years having turned the other side of 50, and have been astounded by the changes in quality and all the other associated aspects since I've been away... who knew... aftermarket parts!

That being said it was actually finding that some of the old matchbox 1:76 armour diorama kits were available as reissues (Revell) and as originals on a well know auction site that drew me back in. Since then I've built a selection of aircraft and armour of varying scales, and have also put together my first 1/35 diorama using components from a variety of boxes.

My stash has grown dramatically since the bug bit me again, and while a lot of it is my own work it's also down to Christmas and Birthday presents for a couple of years too! Currently there is a selection of armour (mostly 1/35 and all ww2), aircraft (1/72 & 1/48 from ww2 and the cold war era) and some sci-fi (FineMolds and Bandai Star Wars, Revell Enterprise and a Space 1999 Eagle by MPC). My only concern is that we don't have enough shelf space to put them all when I've built them all!

Have already learnt a lot from this site during my time as a lurker and looking forward to joining in when work allows.
