Sorry boy's, just noticed these reply's. I've been looking over it in the last few days and as all of you say, i think it's not as bad as first appeared, in fact, it's starting to grow on me !
I'll post a picture of the finished model and good or not that'll be the end of it. I've learned a lot from the advice and comments on this build and i cant thank you all enough. Hopefully the next one will be a bit closer to the result we hope to acheive !

I like to think that this is the drive I have for almost everything I do....modelling, my work, being a dad, EVERYTHING!!
It is a great attitude to strive to keep getting better and not kill yourself on the current 'one'

Every time i had a chance of taking final pics outside the weather was rubbish so i just bought two sheets of A1 thin card, far from ideal but it'll do for now. Id doesnt help that it's a really big model !

Thanks guy's the fin and missile rails are not cemented in place yet as it has to back in the box untill i can get somewhere more permanent. (Saves having to dust it as well )
I'm pleased the way it went, i wasnt sure what the end result would be .

Finally caught up on this one. It's a fantastic finish, great work in here on such a giant bird.

One look at the decal sheets and I'd have noped the hell out. Bravo!

Yeah, the decal sheets are the largest i've used in a kit by far but they say you forget pain and there must be some truth in it as i'm thinking of getting another !

Fantastic build, you should be well chuffed with that.

I do like the earlier 50's jets too these were still fly by the seat of your pants, often by WW2 pilots.

When I started on the F4 OCU in '74 one of the instructors had flown P51's during the war...the amusing thing was here he was, 50 odd years old ex WWII fighter pilot instructing on a Mach 2 jet and his son flew Shackletons...
