You have the 505 logo for your pic, but you aren't doing the 505 version?!

...get started today

and the first thing i noticed, what you need building this kit is SPACE..a lot.
Wich i haven`t
So the XL Box comes pretty handy

Image

The instructions seem to be logical and neat

but there is a major minus i recognized even on the first sub assembly, you have to pick up parts from 4 individual sprues : ...häh

Image

so we will se where this is going

I just purchase those two kits but I am going to wait until I have a few more kits under my belt. Looking forward to your progression with this kit so I will know what I will be facing when I start my build. Good luck.

There is a you-tube video just released on assembly and painting the lower hull interior.

Except for two little holes in the sidewall which need to be reamed, the fitting was perfect so far.

...this is going to take a while
continue with a couple of the interior parts, amount of detail on this is pretty huge so the painting takes a lot of time
here are some pics of the progress

so far so good...
lower hull assembly is almost done and i started the weathering process,my plan is to keep it simple because of the relative short period of service.
