How can I tint my conpy Gold?

I am working on a kit right now that has a smoke colored canopy. Its a space craft and I want to tint the canopy GOLD. How can I do this with out destroying it. I am very apprehensive to do this but I'm hoping to get a look like the F-22. Please Help.

Also i think its was AFV Club that did canopy tint for aircraft but i dont know if that is a replacement canopy or something you out on the canopy you have.

haven't watched the vid's, but it occurred to me. Could you actually mix the clear color in with the future or clear gloss you dip your canopy into.

Yes you can but you need to test it to see if you was happy with the effect of it as some gold paints have quite large pigments.

How about this paint then, inks are very thin
Vallejo Game Color inks have several colors and dry semi-transparent.

That hasn't been perfected by anyone yet.... but many have tried...
if you go with Acrylic products ? please do me a favour and dip your Canopy in "Future" ( clear version ) first !
Let cure for 4 days... to make sure its completely hard.

That way... if any of your future experimentation fails... you can always ... dunk your failed experiment in a small tub of Windex (windolene)
and the whole thing will eventually peel off the glass... and you can Repeat the Dip in Future layer... for the next time ! that's your insurance you can reclaim your canopy intact..... if YOU don't ! then... you will curse the skies...

I would suggests you experiment on scrap clear styrene first... till you perfect your colour and tint percentage.
