How to lower a car?

Post by Caskas »

Im just coming back to the hobby after 35 years. I have several car models that I would like to lower the stance on. I tried looking around the interweb but information is sketchy. Can someone please advise me how? Preferably with photos. Also where I can I get rims for my cars. I do not really like the plastic generic ones. I really like the low profile tires, but was also looking for metal rims or "custom" rims. FYI I live in the US so if I order something it must be able to ship here.

Quickest way I've seen is to nip the tops of the wheel struts but that's only effective for a small number of kits. I'm on the go (Seattle to Portland drive--no I'm not doing the driving right now) but I think I saw a vid about what to do with all the kits this doesn't work for.

Once I get there and get settled I can try to find it and get you those links for AM wheels and tires.
