A Thing!!!

Post by Plopper »

I have NO idea where to put this, but as I will be using it for model making I thought that it may as well go here!

The back story is that I'm going to treat myself to a new Dremel, so I thought that I would re-purpose my old one. And I'm crap at using them and can never keep them still to cut a straight line!

SSOOO!!!

I came up with this idea!

Image

It's not purdy but it works well.

Image

All made out of Styrene and Perspex.

Image

A couple of images off the net edited together for measurement and angle.

Image

The top sheet of Perspex is free moving so I can hold what I cut on it and slide it past the blade.

Image

I even got the cutting line quite good too!

OH! Edit.

Image

Most mess I've EVER had in the shed since fitting it out!

Image

But not to worry it didn't stay that way for long! :-)

No worries, I'm going to add a guard just above the centre point of the shaft using two L angles clear Perspex.

Got to look after me pinkies!
