What will you be buliding?

Post by LM951 »

This thread was originally the idea of MarkVerploeg but I thought I would kickstart it. I'm really excited to get this SIG started!!!

My entry will be a Perfect Grade Evangelion Unit-01:

Just copying from the other thread:

I will be building the Astaroth Origin ... when it arrives from Japan. :-)
It's one of the HG Iron Blooded Orphans kits. They're supposed to be very well engineered for their size and anyone who has seen my tiny Star Wars kits knows, that I love turning small models into something that looks much larger.
It also will be my first gundam (apart from the "normal" Astaroth, that is still waiting for parts cleanup ...), so I'm really looking forward to that.

Third time trying to post lol im terrible at this.
Hi guys this is my first GB. I'm planning on making my first kit from 1987's Metal Armor Dragonar.
Created in '87/'88 by Bandai and Sunrise as a direct successor to 1978's Mobile Suit Gundam.
This is the space grunt suit AMA-03B Gewei. Similar to a Zaku 2 from Gundam.

ive got loads more giant robot suits to do too.

IF I'm feeling confident and IF I can get my work area cleaned up enough to fit multiple builds I'd like to build this:

Awesome stuff on the horizon here!

Myself, I'll probably start with this guy since the genesis for this whole thing came about while trying to find a time for a Zoids buddy build with Paul:

If I manage to actually finish something on time then maybe I'll follow it up with a 1/100 Barbatos, Qubeley, or take a crack at the MG Freedom. We'll see.

I'd love to start in on this monster:

...but something tells me I should wait, get some more practice in.

Well for me this would be it

At the moment i am.still debating if i will build straight out of the box and paint it or if i will customize it a bit
But i doubt i will start at the opening date as i have a bit much on the bench already including a other gundam that needs to be painted allthough that needs to be stripped down and primed first so i will probably paint the 2 side by side

GB builds

Personal builds
1/35 Hobby Boss M1070 tractor with M1000 semi trailer and Meng M1A2 TUSK II Abrams

I'm tempted to try and use this granite sample from our new house as a base.

All these Mecha builds on the way I almost feel like my choice is a bit off topic! Aside from not being as cool looking the 'battle droid' was pretty useless as a, well, battle droid!
But, if no one complains I'll go with it.

I'm going to be building this guy; Bandai's RMS 108 Marasai Mobile Suit.
I really like the clear design evolution from the Zaku with the callbacks to Samurai armor

I'm in the same boat, if I can get my act together and manage multiple builds I'm planning on these three and recreating a bad motivator

If you can make that work...just awesome. Goes to show you should never discard scraps ;)

Marasai is one of my top 10 designs, easy. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise!

Ambitious! Eager to see that...

And oh look, it's time to start! Life has decided to be unbearably busy for me, I wish I could have been here the last 24 hours to really cheer these on as we get started, but alas!

Anyway...game ON!
