1/32 Phantom F-4J - Tamiya.

After a night on the lash I came home and ordered this on the recommendation of two fellow modellers - one with a skill level similar to Pauls and the other pretty much like...... erm..... Ivans (not a dig chap but a compliment) :

I'm happy to build it mostly OOB as I'm just back into the hobby and feeling my way slowly. My question is - apart from a set of resin cans, is there any other aftermarket stuff you would recommend? Please bear in mind that I've not used resin before and I'm pretty much pooing myself anyway with this build

Oh she is a big girl you are starting out with
Have a good look in the kit and see how the cockpit detail and such is before you splurge on more resin

You'll love it ! The only bad point of the kit is the intakes although it didnt bother me. I can take a picture of it if it helps.

Johnj - my mate has just completed one and it was him who convinced me to dive into the Phantom. I am VERY apprehensive but following his advice I've ordered some cans and seeing his work I'm not worried about the intakes. I think for a chap with my (lack of) experience I should keep it simple I've yet to open the sprue bags and I'm already chanting 'dry fit, dry fit, dry fit'.......
