Augustus's Panzer IV (H)

Post by Augustus »

Finally finished. Didn't add the spare track links as nothing to attach them to, no tow cable, I didn't like the string, and no scratching allowed.

I have no studio, light box etc so my best light was in the garden. For some shots I posed the tank on a plastic chair to get level with it. This was going OK until out of my eyesight the cat crept up and took a swipe at it! Knocked it off, but luckily I was (nearly) finished anyway.

Brilliant job. Love the outdoors shots in particular, strong sunlight can be very unforgiving but there's no substitute for natural light and, in your case, nothing that needs forgiving!

Thanks very much guys, it means a lot. Your kind words are a great encouragement.

Guess I better fix that broken MG, bloody cat sticks her nose (and moustache! ) in everywhere.

Thank you everyone for all the great comments.

It's good to see comments that say why you like the job and which parts in particular as they are the ones that I too am most pleased with.

It's certainly not a perfect job but it was one I enjoyed making, a kit I would definitely recommend.

Thanks again for viewing and taking the time to comment.
