I built the model pretty much out of the box except for AK interactive metal tracks. I achieved the rusty and dusty look using: oil paints, Mig ammo, and AK interactive products. I know some of you wanted to see it finished, because I talked about on a few posts people had made. I was inspired by Panzermeister36's video about weathering modern tanks, so I decided to make a dusty and rusty Iraqi army T-62 from the 80's-90's. The good thing was that Iraqi tanks had little or no markings at all, which was a bonus for me because I don't like decalling. I based my tank off several reference pictures
and a T-55 that the Tamiya magazine editor Marcus Nicholls built, but the tank is more of a generic T-62. Anyway, here's the video: [youtube]mZ_VvgA33-c[/youtube]

Wow, really well done, I love the weathered overall look, the paint looks neat, and the chipping of underlying paint in the second tone of camo looks awesome. The dirt mud and rust also looks excellent. The only thing bugging me is the tracks seem too slack, They would normally require tension to work, as slack tracks wouldn't give the vehicle enough traction. Apart from that, an expertly painted and modelled...model!

Yeah It can be quite hard to judge how many links to put on, I have never used metal tracks before, so at least you braved it!
I still think it looks awesome, the painting is really good.
