TIGER 1 PROTOTYPE,HEAVY BATTALIONS AND HYBRIDS

Hi,
Thankfully i have just finished my project to build a series of Tigers.I started this project over 2 years ago.
Here they are starting with a prototype and ending with the hybrids
which combined some new features on old chassis.Most were fun to build, others a real test.Most have interiors.The two hybrids were made
out of my spares which i thought was fitting.

This is a fantastic set, I give you all the respect in the world for taking on such a project. I will eventually do most of these but life has got me too busy at the moment. Great work all around.

A superb tour de force. I lie the Tiger I as a subject but this is real dedication. It brilliantly highlights the genesis of the tank but also just how varied the camo schemes used by the Germans were.

A fantastic idea, brilliantly realised.

The kits i used are
Dragon Leningrad Initial for the 502nd
Tamiya Dak/Dragon for the 501st
Dragon initial plus TMD Vorpanzer backdate for the prototype
503rd - can't remember most probably Dragon hull with Tamiya Early turret
504th - Dragon 131
505th - Dragon Whitmann
506th - Tamiya mid production
507th - Tamiya late production
508th - Tamiya late production
509th - Tamiya early hull TMD early mid production turret
510th - Dragon late with zimmerit
Hybrids - Dragon spares

Used Dragon DS tracks for all except for 503rd modelkasten
All had metal gun barrels except for hybrids Dragon plastic - mainly RB Models,one was Aber.
All but 3 had full interiors - Verlinden.

great job....I had planned the same sort of idea......however
yep, a couple built and the rest still in boxes keeping the house warm !!

yes you can't beat some extra insulation during the winter months.
i also have a few boxes keeping out the damp
i recently bought a takom king tiger with interior - the size of the box - you could use as structural supports.
kit looks amazing - check out build on you tube by andyhobbyheadquarters
