Greetings all Modeling enthusiasts. After an extended hiatus, I've returned to this wonderful forum. I've missed posting my stuff and seeing everyone's great modeling achievements.
This is is the old ESCI Stug III kit. I opted to make it the 105mm armed Sturmhaubitze 42.

I've added quite a few scratchbuilt items to this old girl. 1st...added concrete reinforcement to front hull.

Added extra armor and bolt details to lower front hull. Made new notek light bracket. Inserted rubber gasket between gun armor jacket and top hull.

Added gunner's periscope. Opened loader's hatch. Added Preiser tank crewmen.

Used Schutzen mounting rails from Revell Stug kit. Made thinner Shutzen plates out of styrene.

Carved off all molded on tank tools and replaced with singular items. Added mesh screens to engine intakes. Added stowage railing.

Added stowage, tow cable, and antennas. Added a bucket to rear of tank....every tank should have a bucket.

Very nice model in this scale. Grat idea to replace the Schurzen, they look more realistic.

One thing I am not sure are the penetration holes in th additional protection on the left and right side of the main gun. If I'm right, this was made of concrete.

Thanks Gentlemen. Glad you like it. You can have just as much fun on the small scale kits as the larger ones.
In response to the penetration into the added concrete armor...I'd figure AT rifle hits of 14 to 20mm. Any embedded rounds would cause rusting, so the darker holes. That's the story and I'm sticking with it...hahahahahahaha.
