"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?" - A NEW SEGMENT OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S ISM LIVE "AT THE BENCH" SHOW!

* Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, February 10th! *

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). Also, have only one project shown in the image per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

05). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

06). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

07). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

08). There will be a posted thread similar to this one on the ISM Facebook group. PLEASE post your work only in ONE of these. This will prevent us from having to sort through duplicate posts on both sites.

After the the live crew shows what they have been working on during the week, participating member's images and details will then be shown. This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew. :-)

I dug this one out that I haven't worked on for a while. A 1/24 scale, 1990 Monogram Buick NASCAR. Painted with Testor's spray cans before I got an airbrush. Gold, white and a candy red. Needs some details to finish it up. Everything about the box says "old school". Pit crew has no helmets, gas catch man is wearing a cowboy hat. It's a beer can on wheels. The driver used to drill a hole in the front of his helmet so he could smoke a cigarette during caution laps. I can't imagine any of that these days. Thanks again guys.

Trumpeter's 1/35 KV-1 Ehkranami (TRP357)
added casting texture to mantlet, armor plates, and rear of turret using soldering iron, stretched sprue, mr surfacer 500. Flame cut and weld texture added to armor plates with stretched sprue and a blade
painted with MIG Ammo 4BO modulation set, a scratch on fender needed sanding back and resprayed
rust is life color acrylics (from their rust set) and oils, I am going to give this another shot...not completely happy
Friul tracks are cleaned up and ready for their burnishing fluid

The patch is now resprayed and the weathering will start after the fresh paint has had some time to cure.

Here she is, my Airfix 1:72 De Havilland Mosquito Mk. XVIII, with just a hand-painted base coat of Vallejo Model Color 70.780 Medium sea gray.

Lots of filling, sanding, re-painting and details to do... The scratchmarks are unintentional. :bash: Got a few subassemblies going on outside the image frame.

Still working on the HobbyBoss Tornado. Tried doing a mottle coat today for the first time, found it a lot easier than I expected, and very effective! Used thinned Tamiya acrylic in a random pattern. Then went over the top of it thinly with medium sea grey so the tonal variations were just subtle enough. Really pleased with the result, but photo doesn't do it justice! Nose cone is dark sea grey. Underside will get done tomorrow before detail painting can begin.

Finished off the 1/24 MPC/Airfix JU-87.

Paints used were Model Master Enamels and Metallics, Alclads, and Testors.
I used a number of sizes of Styrene Rod, Square, strip, channel, T-forms, I forms, and sheet.
A great deal of scratchbuilding including all that is interior aft the cockpit and interior of the wing sections.
Started in August 2016.
Done as my tribute to the late Dan Jayne.
