I assembled the cockpit removing any of the raised detail needed to allow the pe cockpit set to fit. The cockpit was was primed in alclad black micro primer and then sprayed in mr hobby 308 fs grey.

I then attached all the pe to the tub and seat, which made a huge difference to the kits details. I gave everything a black/brown oil wash and then assembled it all together and glued it in place in the fuselage. Looks good for a 48 sale pit, the pe set is a worthy addition to the kit :thumb2:

Looking good Paul! There are a couple of faults with this kit that requires some plastic surgery, you might find this thread helpful: http://ipmsgoteborg.clubdiscussion.net/ ... jaktviggen (I recommend you to use google translate since the forum is swedish. :))

I've been loving the videos on the YouTube channel, it's nice to see what I'll be up against once I get started on mine. Your office looks fantastic by the way, went together perfectly.

Some more work on the Tarangus viggen paintwork today, still some more to do but its getting there.
I faded and mottled the paintwork like normal then tried some of the True-earth acrylic resin filters, i used the paint fading to fade the panel in random places then the light ageing to add darker tones and shade some panels. Quite impressed with the look will see how it turns out on the sufa.
I also masked and sprayed Ultimate Primer on the nose tail etc as i love it as a satin black.

My last post seems to have disappeared! I'll try again. Looks even better on here, I was looking on my iPhone earlier! Do you recommend those filters? Also, I usually do filters after decals are on (I've only used filters on armour so far). Do you usually put them on before?

Cheers Paul, nice work dude!

Beautiful aircraft buddy! This one will really stand out in your collection, the JA37 reminds me of the Mirage III both wonderful planes.

Just finished filming part 5 of the Tarangus Viggen build. Sadly Lee is away for a week so it'll be a week or so till its uploaded to the ISM you tube channel.

The beauty of our Ultimate ultimate washes is being to mix them together making your own colour. I mixed some dark dirt and concrete to get a shade they just showed up through the grey

Image

It's been given a dark dirt wash on the upper camo pattern and a custo dark dirt/concrete dark grey wash underneath. Then Matt/satin varnished using dullcote and the canopy unmasked. Starting to get there now
