Hobbyboss 1:72 F-15E Strike Eagle 3/3

Post by MWindir »

Last of my Hobbyboss jets I did last year. Some fit issues with this one. But again, I liked simplicity of this kit which is perfect for me as I do not like takinh too much time to finish a model. Painted with Tamiya acrylics and some oil wash. For this one I used both dark and greish wash to contrast dark grey. Also used blackbasing, but kepy it subtle in the finish. I have decided to paint airbreak green after seeing a photo of Strike Eagle in flight with green one. I suspect a spare/new part?

..and all three in their glory. Nice to see size difference. F-15 is massive.

Many thanks. :thumb2:

Very nice. Green airbrake looks good. i suspect the one in your photo was still in it's chromate undercoat.

Cheers. It makes sense with primer. My colour should have more blue hue.

Just finished up a couple of these myself. Nowhere near as nice as yours but as I am just breaking into the hobby I was happy enough. Brilliant air-brake!! Love it!

Thanks! That was one of first models I have done last summer when I returned to the hobby.
