Hello all!

Post by Matthaus »

Hi, I'm Matt. After stumbling across several You-tube modellers I've been injected with a new found urge to squirt glue everywhere! I haven't built a single model since about 1986 so this'll be interesting...

My main interest is WW2 aircraft like most I suppose. Always found most jets, With a few great exceptions, To be characterless. Also seem to be mainly attracted to Japanese planes too now, IDK!

As a kid 1:72 was my thing but I'm going to mainly stick with 1:48 now.

My ultimate challenge is to build a 1:48 FW Condor and Junkers JU52, Always wanted them when younger but never managed it.

So its great to be here and let the ruining begin!

Thanks.

:welcome:

Take a look at the late 40's, 50's jets even mid 60's. Still mostly flown as many late WW2 prop aircraft. Really interesting things about earlier jets is the men who flew them, most were WW2 pilots many were aces. Another interesting point is many 50's designed jets flew right into the 90's some are still flying. Check out the B52!

Welcome aboard mate and enjoy
Kev
