Wire for cockpit super detailing

Post by Stokesy44 »

Greetings All

Another request from the Newby book of I don't know what I'm doing - again.

I see guys (and gals Ivan  ) using a soft kind of wire for cockpit cabling and hoses etc. Its some kind of lead wire, I think, but I don't know what it is and where to find it.

Any help would be appreciated - I find ignorance definitely isn't bliss :th:
:cheers2:
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

if you need something a little stiffer, but pliable copper wire or silver wire from craft shops is usable and is available in different thicknesses .

I have every size shown on that page ( link ) and this will last me for years.... perfect for all kinds of uses.
The neat thing about this product is that you can ... slowly roll it ( rolling pin style ) and flatten the wire into strips and use them as weapon slings or bands for jerry can tie downs and the like ! a worthy addition to your modelling arsenal ! :cheers2:

Try http://www.modellingtools.co.uk/

Paul supplies many, many useful things including various thicknesses of lead wire from 0.01 to 1mm plus coloured wires.

Highly recommended
