Airfix 1/24 scale Mosquito

Post by Modelpro72 »

Hello All.

Its been along time now but this beast has been brought out of the man cupboard and is going to be made. To say that this project is long term is an understatement but I will make as much progress on this as possible. I will be going the full 26 miles on this one which will mean a bit of scratch building, wiring and a few bits that I will make up as I go along.

I've posted the review videos as well and will post more videos as the build progresses.

The first set of photos you will see are the ones from a few years back just to say that I did start it. I will be striping it down again and starting from stage one. It's the only way I can do it.

Enjoy fellas and any comments are very welcome.

That was the first thing my daughter said to me when I brought it home, 'where you gonna put it Dad'?

My god, it's huge! And so is the mossie! Lol!

What's next in your stash, a 1:1 mossie?

Glad you're making a move on it, I've been waiting for this one.

Cheers

Moosive Mossie, gonna be lush. You could build a hanger for her and park her up outside...
Yes.. It is supposed to look like that!

But is it big enough?

Holy crap Lenny. :eeek:
I'll start building the airstrip now in the back yard and you and the family can pop over for tea next summer.
That will be an epic piece of work buddy.

This will be a lovely build, your passion for the subject is clear and I've already learned a great deal about the plane just by listening
