M60A3 Patton Tank

Post by arkbuilder2012 »

Taking a stab at the AFV Club M60A3. Concurrently working on the A1. Very nice kits, but the PE stowage baskets are a pig. Still need to anchor them down. Both vehicles will likely be painted in MERDC and will depict vehicles from 1/252 AR.

Look forward to watching the build. Both are in my stack of "to do's". Good luck and I'm sure they will be fantastic!

Working on the commanders cupola and the M85 with the blank adaptor attached. Also I did get a replacement barrel for the main gun from DEF Model.

Got around to doing a bit more work on the turret. Checking with a buddy who was with the 252 to see if they ever used the Hoffman device before I add it. I never saw any of them with the search light so I'm leaving it off.

I like the Cast texture over the whole model.... hummm I may look into getting one of those... for future builds...

Also the Blanks (BFA) on the 50.cal is nice ! so I gather this will be seen on an Exercise ?

Get one, you won't regret it. Really nice kits. I'm looking forward to their release of the M728.

A bit more work. Going a bit slow but only because there are so many small details in this kit. Worth every minute.

Laying down some basic colors. Of course managed to break part of the turret basket.
