Peak Space.

Post by digger303 »

Swmbo has decreed the kits have to be confined to my existing storage.
The stash has reached 99% PEAK space limits and is expected to reach maximum in 12 days.....what in the hell do I do then.
No way do I really want to stop. I don't have a certain person's steadfast determined nature... :)
Maybe I can camo the boxes so they blend into the surrounding walls, furniture and such. Or even pinch her glasses.
One thing is for sure.....I NEED a better strategy or a more pliable missus

Attic ladder (lockabLe of course) and store them in the roof space?
Obviously this would depend on your location. I know in melbourne when I service ducted air conditioning in summer the roof space can easily reach 75c

Ya I don't think plastic will do well in your climate without air conditioning.....I was going to suggest attic, but nope
I store a lot of my big kits at work in my office

Big blonde is gonna have to be paid for....I lost what ever charms I had some time ago :(
No rental space to be had in this isolated neck of the woods. I could build a upper cabinet near ceiling level in the work area. Might be the only thing to do. It might actually work in my favor. I need a display unit...no room to put one in my work area. However with a large enough storage I could move my kits from where they are. She would think she's having a win , but then I could start to fill that back up with completed kits...I might just get my display unit then which would have to be placed in the main hallway....currently highly restricted !! ... Wheels within wheels ;) ... Marriage is war

It's starting to feel very cramped in my space !!

What about going underground? Dig a stash hole in the bondu big enough for a wheelie bin and use that.

Myself, after I open a box with a new kit (which I'm not buying any in 2017) I kick in the bedroom door and bellow like a Dothraki Khal: "I have a new Tamiya 1/48 Zero!"

At this point the Mrs. is overcome with lust.

I swear.

If you must model.... model safely.... other wise the Stash will multiply and you will have little egg plane kits of unknown parentage in your cupboard
