Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

After a couple of them, you begin to realize Dragon "instructions" are more of a set of suggestions, combined with a riddle, all hidden in a treasure map. I built that kit a while ago, IIRC the big problem was mislabelled parts, they used the drawings for a standard JP, but didn't change the part numbers over to the ones to match the zimmerit sprues.
They are really at their worst with the 3in1 half-track kits.... it really doesn't help that, no matter how many steps or parts are involved, or how many versions can be made, Dragon has a anal-retentive compulsion to make every kit with instructions that are 6 pages. They must be rationing paper in China or something....

Its a riddle, wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma! And that's after you've just recovered from realising 30% of the parts you've paid for wont actually be on the final kit - and the guide teeth on the DS tracks have been flattened by being crammed into an overstuffed box and are therefore useless.

I tend to shy away from Dragon - unless they're deeply discounted at model shows and are dated from when the kits came with loads of goodies and were packaged properly.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

yes sorry i left the caps on - it was 3.15 in the morning and i had just spent the last 2 hours prying apart solidly glued parts because
the f------ instructions were so bad.yes i was upset - like the JFK quote - great film. Luckily i was watching the wolf of wall street at
the time so didn't damage any furniture in a fit of f------ rage.but seriously Dragon need to get their act together - that kit has cost me £50.

i have now had to hack off the warped gun barrel from behind the mantlet.its in the bin.replaced by a beautiful rb metal barrel
which was going to be used on one of my king tiger projects.so far the new metal barrel is the only thing positive about this build.
also forgot to mention the 2mm gap between the rear engine deck and the rear plate. don,t know if its me or the kit and to be honest don't really care.
anyway thats what putty is for.next laugh will be creating sag for a pather/jagdpanther with ds tracks.what a f------ joke.
