Tagging

Post by Tomcat64 »

I know this may be a bit Facebookey but is there any way of Tagging someone in a post on the forum?

Reason for asking is that in my recent build I've used a few techniques and products recommended by other people and while I've given them a shout out in the relevant update they won't necessarily know that unless they're following along.

I've tried experimenting with the Quote function but that's a bit clunky.
Cheers, Neil

i think most folk use the quote function. I wouldn't know what tagging was not being on fartbook, I thought this post was about the little anklet things you wear when you've been a naughty boy...

Oh yeah - I forgot about the criminal element!

I use the quote system a lot for a direct quote but what I'm thinking about is something more along the lines of:
Remembering a tip I picked up from PERSON in the Summer Sci Fi SIG he filled out the vac-form he was building with expanding foam to give the structure more rigidity

So not necessarily a direct quote but still flagging up to that member that I've used a tip from them
Cheers, Neil

You could create a folder in your browser's favourites folder and save the page the post is on, making it easier to find the post and copy it later. I would rename the saved link in the folder right away or all you see in the list is http intscalemode over and over and have to check each one to find what you're looking for.
