1/48 Trumpeter Vampire fb mk5

Post by Fridgy »

This will be my next build
Looking forward to this one, hopefully it will be nice and easy and reasonably quick due to the low parts count

Nice full colour painting guide with 2 options, not sure if I will make either of these yet or go for a target towing plane livery

Thinking about doing an in flight model this time around. Hopefully the gear doors will allow this with out too much modifiction required

This is the colour scheme I am leaning towards

Hi Mick, I've built this kit. Nice kit but be aware you need a lot of noseweight! I would suggest putting some in the front of the wing tanks as well if you are fitting them. The only rough bit I can remember about it is where the tail booms fit onto the wings, you might have to do a bit of sanding there. Other than that it's straightforward. It's such a nice kit I've bought another.
Regards, Dave.

Wow....
So I got carry away with this build and didn't take any photos as I went.
Here she is as she stands today

Excuse the dark photo. Will get a better one once I have found the motivation to clean my work bench off
