PSI Used in sraying Vallejo Model Color?

Post by Warren »

Gentlemen,

I plan to airbrush Vallejo Model Color using a Iwata HP Plus C (.30mm needle), and Ultimate airbrush thinner (70% thinner, 30% paint). Vallejo suggest a PSI of 15 to 18 when applying Model AIR. I would therefore suppose that since Model Color is a thicker paint that the PSI should be at least 20.

What PSI do you use when airbrushing Model Color?

Thanks.

Warren,

I spray both MA, and thinned MC at 20 psi from a HP-CS (eclipse) with no issues.

It won't be a thicker paint once you've thinned it... :th: it does have thicker particles than Model Air but that shouldn't make any difference. 15-20 psi is fine.
