Very nice choice - should be a stunner, can't wait to see you weather the exposed metal at the rear.

I wait in much anticipation :pop:

The rear section I am having a good think over. May have to practice on another kit.

Yeah... I'm at a loss as to how to do that one myself. I can't really tell much from the pic and I don't know enough about aircraft to be much help technically.
One of the fellas here must have some ideas though.

If by the rear section, you guys mean the metallic finish to the engine, I would use white tack worms, rolled up and placed in pisition :th:

I had a 1/72 super as a lad, I always though it was a little overlooked by model companies.

Great to see one here.

Started building the F-100F tonight. First job was to clean up the main fuselage components. One half had a bad mould line running the whole length of it. A light sanding took most of it away. Filled the sink marks in the cockpit area.

Image
Cid checking the sanding.

Built up the rear engine nozzle.
Image
Cid looking hard at the nozzle.

Cockpit built up and ejector seats placed in cockpit. Will dry fit all parts before priming and painting.
Image
Dry fitting cockpit into fuselage. May need a little tweaking in places.

Primer on tomorrow maybe.

Happy modelling from Tony and Cid.

Seats look pretty good for kit seats especially being 1/72. Might have to put this kit on my to get list.

Decals as supplied for the kit. Cid was on vacation for a few days. The next part is a little tricky so there may be some rude words spoken.
