Shutter count

Post by Steveo535 »

Hi All

Just a quick one can I find out the shutter count on my Nikon D300s without downloading software onto my Mac.

Cheers Steven.

Hi Steven.
I think there is no way around. You most probably have to download software and read the shuttercount of the Exif data of the latest picture.
I know of no way to get the data directly from the cam, if there is one, I'm interested in

You use the preview on the mac os, simply open a image in preview, go to tools, inspector, then i icon , then Nikon and its half way down.

Thanks for that such a simple but brilliant way to check your shutter count.

Thanks again
