Glue Containers

I was watching the recording of the live show earlier and Paul was saying that he was getting frustrated at the John Smith CA glues drying in the tip of the bottle, making it difficult to get out. I don't actually use it like that and instead take the lid off to pour a little out each time I use it, but I don't find that much better and find the lid get very difficult to open all the time too.

I had thought though; another option might be to pour the glue into a separate container, such as an empty bottle of Tamiya paint pot, to store and then just open it and dip the toothpick (or whatever you use to apply CA glue) straight into the pot whenever you need to, without pouring it anywhere else. Using a Tamiya pot would make it easier to see what you're doing than with the containers they come with because of the shape and clear glass.

I do have some empty paint pots so will give it a try but I just wondered whether anyone else had tried anything similar? The reason I ask it because as Paul also said on the live show, John Smith Industries glue isn't exactly easy to get here in the UK so I don't want to waste any of it by having it all dry or something. I can't imagine a problem but just wanted to check in case!

Lol john smith haha. The bob smith glue is good glue but those nozzles are a pain, taking the cap is too, I made a tool out of form card which makes it much easier. I've got some of the deluxe glue on the way so see if it's better.

Oh I tried the empty tet jar a while back and it didn't work well at all

I bought some Chinese Ca glue in the 5ml bottles, never cap it and it just doesn't go off very quick at all. Actually doesn't come with a cap. It is a thin glue that thickens as it dries. So put a put on some wax paper and it will thicken yet in the bottle left on the bench and 3 months later it is still liquid. Not much humidity here atm so that might help it and it seems to work fine still sticking stuff together.
I bought 10 bottles for 5 or 6 bucks 2 yrs ago and still using them. I have 2 left.
Fluke ...I don't know.
