Tamiya 1/16 Jagdpanther display model

Post by Stokesy44 »

Holy smokes!

Just been watching this come together on Andy's Hobby HQ Youtube channel. Looks amazing but I dread how much it will cost

Oh how I want one though!
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

It is £350 at Wonderland Models. Overpriced? Yes, massively. Do I still want it? Yes, very much

:cheers2:

Oh how I feel your pain brother.

When I think of what I could buy kit-wise for £350 its a no brainer. If it was nearer £200 my resolve might weaken but even at that price I don't think I could go for it and retain any semblance of sanity

My last 10 Dragon kits from eBay cost less than £350 so not even close value wise.

Good point. Its a huge amount of money for a kit that has no more detail on it than a 1/35 kit. No interior, PE limited to the engine grills. I guess you're paying for all the metal stuff left over from the RC kit. Compared to the Trumpy 1/16 stuff (which isn't cheap) it doesn't come out well at all.

While it would be nice to have it, in the cold light of day its a no-brainer.
