"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?" - A NEW SEGMENT OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S ISM LIVE "AT THE BENCH" SHOW!

* Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, June 30th*

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). Also, have only one project shown in the image per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

05). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

06). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

07). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

08). There will be a posted thread similar to this one on the ISM Forums. PLEASE post your work only in ONE of these. This will prevent us from having to sort through duplicate posts on both sites.

After the the live crew shows what they have been working on during the week, participating member's images and details will then be shown. This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew. :-)

J2M3 moving right along, sorted out the metal color problem and I'm on to decals. I'm really glad I painted on the rudder stripes instead of use the decals.

Thankfully there aren't too many decals for the American version of the captured fighter, and they mostly went on just fine. Up next will be a layer of Alclad Aqua Gloss to get some weathering done, probably some mix of Ultimate dirt/light dirt/concrete. I'll have to test a spot, I don't want it to be too dark. The few pictures I have of the actual plane show very little grime and soot, and almost no wear and tear. Hopefully I'll be able to avoid overdoing it while giving it just enough blending/definition. I say these things like I know what I'm doing, but I totally don't ;)

(Sorry the pic isn't great; hard to get the light right on the shiny without setting up a photo booth. It's a more uniform color in person, I swear!)

Continuing on with the 1:48 Airfix Hurricane. Since the last time, I've added decals, another coat of Aqua Gloss and started weathering with Tamiya Panel Line Accent. Next up is more weathering and final assembly. The home stretch is approaching!

Howdy!

1/35 Tamiya US M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" - European Theater

Wonderful model. Primed in Ultimate Black. Used an Aber aftermarket barrel. Painted overall in XF-62 Olive Drab. Then all I got this week was the accessories (work has been a bit heavy recently.) Tools painted in XF-64 Red Brown and Vallejo Air Steel. The Red Brown looks way better than MM Wood color.

[Also, my avatar is a man wearing an American eagle head, carrying an American flag with an AR-15 slug on his chest. It is not a Parakeet and I am not this man.]

Afv clubs 1:35 centurion mk 5/1, Ultimate black primer, tamiya khaki drab thinned with Ultimate thinner then a pinwash with mig dark brown folowed by an all over Ultimate wash of earth and rust mixed to replicate vietnamese soil. Kit is oob, gloss coat is aquagloss and detail paints are vallejo and revell.
Only minor issues with the kit were undersized polycaps for the wheels which necessitated drilling out and the mesh for the turret bustle.

Been adding paint to the underside of the Bandai 1/144 Slave 1.

Primed in Ultimate black and then airbrushed with Tamiya navy light grey and Mr Hobby flat white mixed in various ratios. have also added some masking fluid for the chipping effects to come later.

Been working on this Tamiya Me 262 mostly as a test piece for trying out some different weathering and paint techniques. Only added Eduard belts the rest is OOB. Painted in Ultimate grey primer, MR Paints RLM 76, 81 and 82 all done freehand (except for the hard edge panels) as a test of the Badger Xtreme Patriot 105 that I got to borrow for a trail run.
