"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?" - A NEW SEGMENT OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S ISM LIVE "AT THE BENCH" SHOW!

* Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, July 14th*
image.jpeg
** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). Also, have only one project shown in the image per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

05). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

06). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

07). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

08). There will be a posted thread similar to this one on the ISM Forums. PLEASE post your work only in ONE of these. This will prevent us from having to sort through duplicate posts on both sites.

After the the live crew shows what they have been working on during the week, participating member's images and details will then be shown. This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew. :-)

My A-10A & T-72 combo for the Warring Weather GB is moving along. The A10 has been painted using Vallejo ModelAir Light & Dark Ghost greys, and the ordnance with ModelAir Olive Drab. The Academy decals were very thick and after some research I ended up using Daco Products strong solution (red label) to get them to behave - there's still some creases to be dealt with in the shark-mouth under the chin. The T-72 damaged track length was heated in boiling water and then worked around the wheels to produce the sag, and then the link & length tracks were built up. The tank was then painted with ModelColor Iraqi sand before being weathered with a black clay wash, Lifecolor rusts via a brush & Vallejo black wash sprayed through an airbrush to dirty it up & give a burnt out sooty effect.

1/35 Tamiya US M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" - European Theater

Finally finished up this guy! Loads of fun and got some really good pointers from the community here. I'm really pleased with the results!

Aber aftermarket barrel
Primed in Ultimate Black
Painted overall in in XF-62 Olive Drab
Accessories painted in XF-64 Red Brown and Vallejo Air Steel

Chipped with dry brushed Vallejo Air Steel.
Gloss coating and decals with aquagloss and microsol/set

Oil/pin wash with generic oils
Dullcoated with Testors

Vallejo Enviromental FX's applied using Black Mud and Black Splash Mud
Finally, dusted with some Vallejo Burnt Umber pigments and Black Carbon.

Have a great weekend and thanks for following along with my build!

Still cracking on with the Trumpeter 1/72 Mig-29A Fulcrum.

Paints used were a mix of Tamiya and Mr Hobby Aqueous - colours mixed by eye as the instructions were useless.

Next task is to do the stencils and the weapons before I start weathering.

Taking a small break from my Me-262 this week to get started on a bit different long term project. In the mid 50-ties SAAB where tasked with designing a mach 2.5 capable plane that could carry a nuke to just across the Baltic sea, the project was officially called project 1300 and would have fitted in as A36 Vargen (the wolf) in the Swedish air force. They only made a few wind tunnel models of some of the concepts and I've been wanting to do a model of one of these for a wile now.

So I've started to model it in CAD so I can later 3D print it, for now I've only been trying to get the basic shapes right before I start to add detail to it. I've done a couple of test prints to get a better feel for the shape of it, these prints have been done 75% of the final size. The guys at Tarangus gave me some Lansen parts so the plan is to use the stabilizers from it and the cockpit from a Hasegawa J35 Draken, the landing gear will probably be a mix of both.

Kit = Airfix 1/72 scale. Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX x 2 kits

Been working away on this ... my What If D-Day Invasion Spitfire .... the main armament on this thing will be a 1000lb bomb strapped to the underneath of the central wing ... designed for theoretical use on German pillboxes ... there will be full invasion stripes and green and brown marking applied once finished .... currently working on landing gear getting it looking acceptable !!!

Central wing has been scratch build using cut out sections of the left over wing parts from both kits + plasticard ... back central tail has also been scratch built .... props on one of the propellers have been altered to rotate the other way.

Bit of progress on the End is Neigh. Base colors down, Alclad metalics all around except for the dark grey on the rider (Mr Color Grey/Black). Copper, brass, burnt iron, and chrome for the horsey; gunmetal, steel, and dark grey for the rider and its wings/cape (background on skewers). Lots of slop on the head will be masked off for the rest of the copper color. Gloss coats and detail/weathering to come. And a pumpkin. ;)
