Desert Figures

Post by Augustus »

With shorts on and loads of skin.

Would you paint skin first, or the uniform with bits and bobs?

Thank you kindly!

I think this is a personal preference thing. Personally I paint uniforms first and then add the flesh, but I know others who approach it the same way as getting dressed and start with the flesh and then work their way outwards.

Same thing with the approach to painting skin & uniforms, the current trend seems to be to start with the base colour and then shade down and highlight up from there. This doesn't work for me so I always start with the deepest shade first and then work up through the base colour and up to the highlights.
Cheers, Neil
