2 1/2 ton prime mover & 105mm howitzer

Still needs some weathering, stowage and driver. Its the Hobby Boss truck and AFV Club 105mm. Working on the base right now. My goal is to model every unit within the 30th Inf Div. This is the 197th FA Bn

Very nice. I'm likely to purchase the 105mm as my grandfather operated one in the Pacific. Thoughts on the AFV kit?

Very nice kit. Much more detailed than the Dragon or Italeri kits. Takes a little more effort but worth it.

Very realistic. Like the aiming sticks on the gun trails. After serving with the 4th armored Division I was transferred to the 9th Infantry Division, 84th Field Artillery Battalion. We had 105mm howitzers pulled by 2 1/2 trucks. Your build is very authentic. However, the breach block on the 105 was not painted, it was a solid block of steel. The color is close to silver.

Thank you for the comments and have taken note about the breech block. That's an easy fix. Sorry for the delayed response. As you can see I've also been caught up in the Photobucket fiasco. I'm still working on a similar truck and howitzer display, this time depicting the 230th FA Bn.
