New Oilbrushers by Mig?

I just noticed these for the first time.



Has anyone tried them yet? The two things I like about this idea are 1) the variety of colors available and 2) the fact that since each one has its own applicator, there's no cleanup after use. And anything that would speed up my snail's pace would be welcome.

The 21 color kit is like $75 US.

I'm tempted to try them myself. I think they'll be fantastic for painting figure heads and faces etc. They're about £3.99 each over here in Blighty.

If you have a look at Da Costa's youtube channel he uses them on on his models and diorama's and give them some nice prasie, if you are really good with oil paints then these might seem more like a gimick but i think the idea of them is great as im really bad at mixing colors and having the shades predone would be great for a novice modeller like me I have not got any yet but they are on my list to buy

They do dry a lot quicker than normal oil paints so there is no waiting for days for oil paints to dry.

guessing the brush would get paint all over it and be a bit messy.

I haven't seen them but believe they have a sort of 'self cleaning' mechanism when you pull the brush out. Not sure how effective that would be.

Looking at the cleaning system I can't see the 'built-in high-precision brush' lasting long though. It would surely bend the bristle back when re-inserting the brush, if I'm reading the diagram correctly.

It looks very similar to ladies mascara, and the SO says it works great, no damage to the brush

Not knowing anything about mascara...and being slightly agog at the thought. I don't feel helped at all

They look pretty good I bought one myself to test it.

I do prefer using the Abteilung oils just because you can manipulate them and mix colours as well as use many brushes to apply them on your models easily.

I do really like the cleanliness and ease to use of th se oilbrushers though!
