Ism Friday's night live at the bench what have you been working on for *August 25th*

"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?" - A NEW SEGMENT OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S ISM LIVE "AT THE BENCH" SHOW!

* Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, August 25th*

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). Also, have only one project shown in the image per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

05). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

06). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

07). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

08). There will be a posted thread similar to this one on the ISM Forums. PLEASE post your work only in ONE of these. This will prevent us from having to sort through duplicate posts on both sites.

After the the live crew shows what they have been working on during the week, participating member's images and details will then be shown. This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew. :-)

WIP Accurate Miniatures SBD-3 Dauntless

Worked on the seatbelts
I picked up some Kamizukuri 1/48 WWII USA kraft /paper seatbelts from Ultimate.
They come with laser etched wood buckle and fittings and paper straps.
I painted the wood fittings with Stynylrez Metal Primer.
Looped the belts through the fittings and glued.
Weathered the belts with some Bragdon Powders.

Ok I will play
This is what I am supposed to be working on, but some bad characters got me sidetracked into Porsches....twist my rubber arm
Ferrari F40 1/16 Fujimi enthusiast kit with a fair number of modifications
Plan is for Black body

To show how old the build is, the interior black is Citadel spray can black....some stupid name I cannot remeber and won't go upstairs and look for. All others are Tamiya paints, mostly brush painted, before I got into the airbrush.

Hope to get back to her after the 928 is done and before the ISM Space build in the fall
:cheers2: guys

Haven't managed to get any time at the bench this week so here's an update from last weekend - Warp Nacelles (in case anyone didn't spot that). The intercoolers are aftermarket from JT Graphics in the US as the kit parts were a little on the tall side and lacking detail. Everything except the clear bits were primed with Ultimate black primer, the main tubes were then painted with Vallejo ModelAir White-Grey with details picked out in ModelAir pale blue-grey & white. The metallic bits are Tamiya metallic grey, and the clear parts were painted with Tamiya clear orange for the inner section and clear red for the outer shell. Panel lining was done with a grey clay wash and in terms of varnishes Gloss was Alclad Aqua and Matt was AK Ultra-matte.

On the Bench:
Revell 1/72 Millennium Falcon - stalled due to stupidity
Tamiya 1/35 Stegosaurus Stenops
Tamiya 1/35 Sherman Firefly VC

Here's my completed revell 1/48 Eurofighter Typhoon in the Battle of Britain 75th anniversary scheme. This is my entry for the Warring Weather GB.

Painted with Tamiya acrylics and Vallejo metal colours.

Minimal weathering as the real thing was kept very clean for air shows. I would have liked a more matt finish but couldn't seem to achieve it somehow!

Still working on my Summer Sci-fi build, free time has been scarce lately.

Not a ton to show for the Valkyrie yet, it's 70% glued together but that's a chaotic mess of wings, bombs, and seam filling so instead let's just peek at the cockpit so far. Painted up, PE belts and controls laid down, and a little bit of a gunky wash added for some grime in the corners. Needs a little drybrushing on the equipment aft of the seat, and maybe a bit more gunk as it's hardly noticeable, and some clean up around the bottles etc., but getting there. I might add some contrasting color to the control sticks as they disappear into the PE control panels. Maybe make them white or a lighter grey with more buttons painted on. I dunno.

I'm not happy with the mirrors on the console, the print has white slabs and they don't really do it for me. Not sure what to do about it, but there's still time...

Thanks, Dan! :cheers2:

ive been working on the build in honour of Sam Mccord.
Theres not much i can add at this point the paints are a mix of Tamiya, Mr Colour, Gunze and MRP, most of it has been hand painted using two drops of MLT per Tamiya lid, for example i shake the pot up take the cap off and just add two drops of MLT to the paint in the cap and mix and then paint. thanks for looking, ATB Mark

The Viggen is almost done, it's just missing the last few bits like pitot tubes, canopy and such. So I got started on the base, it's just a picture frame with a thin cork mat glued to the glass and covered with a thin layer of AK diorama concrete. I then scribed some cracks in the concrete before it had fully cured. Still need to do a bit of weathering on the base and maybe add a couple of extra details. I used the picture as an inspiration for the build.
