Trumpeter 1/48 T-38A

Post by jelliott »

I recently completed the 1/48 Trumpeter T-38A in Holoman AFB markings. This kit was a fairly decent kit. The only area that gave me any problems was the attachment of the front canopy. The actuator arms for the canopy are too narrow to fit the space in the canopy. To fix this I used a small piece of cut sprue to hold the arms apart until the glue dried and I was then able to remove the spacer. You can see this spacer in a couple of the pictures below. The paints used for this kit were Tamiya, Ammo of Mig, and AK Xtreme Metal, and gloss coated using Alclad Aqua Gloss. Enjoy!

Very nice indeed.

I would love to update these pics; however, when Pukebucket started demanding their ransom. I havent been able to access the pics that I had over there. I have attempted to download the photos back to my home PC, but the links do not appear to work. I believe that I may have lost all of the photos I had there.

That's a shame. The images should still be available, there weren't any changes with regards to storing photos so I'm not sure why you're having difficulty getting them. Hope you manage to figure it out though!
