MiG-21bis 1:48 Eduard

Post by Mikele »

Hello Everyone,

My latest build, Eduard Profipack plus decals from ModelMaker Decals for this unique paint job. The oryginal plane was painted this way in 1995 for the 75th Anniversary of Polish naval flight units. MiG-21bis no. 8905 from 34th Fighter Squadron, Babie Doły Airbase.

Excellent work

Is the eagle a decal or painted on?

Both. :) I applied decals from great ModelMaker Decals' set (i love their decals, lots and lots of great painting schemes to choose) and then i airbrushed it to melt it in the paintjob. Then i brushed some details to the decals themself on eagles' beak, eyes and feathers and it was it.

Great work - I thought it didn't quite look like a decal :th:

I do like 60s jets they look like they're doing Mach 2 just sitting there, lovely finish :th:

Thank you. That's basically what they were designed for - fly high and fast ;)
