Bandai K-2SO with custom base

Post by Astaroth »

Wow, it's almost 9p.m. here in Europe and there's no build thread yet?

Well, here we go then. I'll be building Bandai's K-2SO and a base for him, too. I'm not going to try and make a full diorama this time.

I will add box and sprue shots later.

I finally watched Rogue One today (home sick from work) and I must say I really enjoyed it! K-2SO was a blast to watch, too! To be honest I liked him better than C-3PO. Scandalous!
I'll be watching this!

Hmm, no pictures today, sorry guys. I was so into another project this evening, that I completely forgot to take some. ;-)

Lysus might be able to guess what kind of base I have planned. :)

I'll just say: similar to the DV helmet stand. :shhh:

He really did make the movie for me. Perfect example of what can make the Star Wars universe so much fun.

Ok guys, here are the box and sprue shots. Not a lot to it. Building him should be a breeze, it will all come down to the painting.

Wow that is a cool layout of sprues! Ive never built a bandai kit (yea, I do live under a rock.. hehe) but so amazing to see clear parts melded into the dark molded areal! Looks like a really fun build. Good luck with it and the painting!

:pop: That looks like a great droid kit, I think that will go on my wanted list as well!

Finally getting back to this one.

I broke him down into parts that I can paint individually. With a bit more careful arrangement this could make a cool display in itself, too. ;)

Image

But before I can paint, I will have to deal with some ugly seamlines like the one behind the neck.
