Trumpeter 1:32 Scale Aircraft

Does anyone have any feedback on Trumpeter's 1:32 scale aircraft, quality of the plastic, clear parts, raised panel lines, any fit issues, availability of after market parts etc, and has anyone build any of these kits.

How far in the build are you on your Me262, do you have any photos that your able to show us.

STILL building the Stuka.....mostly very nice I would say with the major exception of the join in the gull wing. Major gap there and it isn't that easy to fill and sand. I may have made it worse by trying to correct it, but most have made a comment about it. Yet I might buy the same kit again one day and have another crack at it.

replaced the axle with brass tube with a small bit of rod inserted into it.

This bit didn't quite behave itself so used sprue glue to hide it....not sure if it was my mistake or the kit.. probably me

My attempt to protect the machine gun. I still knocked off both sights and yes I know I had the wrong one on there.

I washed the color out some what it is actually a lot darker.

I'm Not exactly a master builder, but I hope you got some idea of the kit. The rivets and panels I think are nicely done and most of the kit fits well with the only other fit problem being fitting the 2 engine cowlings together....bulk head needs a bit trimmed.

That's a very nice looking cockpit, are you going to chip and weather it.

Probably not...Just going to leave the whole thing fresh. Don't really have the weathering skills yet and this is my first aircraft not counting the Gyro I did.

Looks like you have put a lot of time and effort into getting the cockpit to this stage.

Never really thought about, but I guess it did seem to take a while. I remember taking a coon's age to finally decide what color to paint the cylinder and even more time trying to figure out how the gunners machine gun was fixed. The instructions were a bit vague in that area.

I have done the mig-29a build. The fit was really nice.the only issue I had was the engines didn't fit well in back of the aircraft and ended up breaking the locator pin in the process so I had to improvise with the cement.

I have done the bf109/e3 and I thought it was great. I purchased a photo etch set for it and it was a waste of money the detail in the kit was good enough, especially when the kit only cost me $40.

Decals do need to be improved. I'll refer to stencils and decals both as decals. The decals all have blah writing, it's like chicken scratch writing. I would definitely obtain aftermarket decals for the kit first and foremost. Other than that the kits are decent but not AAA kit good. I would grade them as a AA kit manufacturer.
