I live in the US and I needed replacement parts for my kit that I'm building. Tried calling Tamiya USA the day after Labor Day (today) and they said that I called after hours. It was 11:47 am when I called. Anyone have this experience with them?

I did just get into contact with them and they will send me the parts that I needed.

that's good....nice result. Some companies are shockers glad to hear Tamiya isn't one of them.

That's good. Pleased you got sorted out. The UK Tamiya agent is listed as The Hobby Company in Milton Keynes. I contacted them when I needed a replacement canopy. Unfortunately they didn't even bother to reply. Hopefully others have had a better experience

Yeah I live in the UK and have inquired about spare parts from the Hobby Company. I was told I had to buy the entire sprue and it was £30+. You could literally buy another whole kit with that from eBay. Compare that to Airfix and Eduard for example who send you parts free. Not great Tamiya.

Had the exact same today, I don't mind having to pay as it was my mistake that resulted in me needing the spare parts, but having to buy an entire sprue is frustrating, especially at those prices

In my case they even said to just buy a new kit, surely they are just over charging for the spare to avoid any hassle

Just visit the Tamiya website link, select the Tamiya division, in my case USA. Go to contact us and shoot them an email. That was all I had to do to receive my replacement parts. Also it was free to get the replacement parts for the kit.

The Hobby Company is where the Tamiya site directs you to in the UK unfortunately as they are the agents over here
