Petlyakov PE-2 Zvezda 1/48

Post by ajcmac »

This is my next model. This is a model of Zvezda in 1/48 and from what I read in the reviews with good fittings and very well detailed. I need to be careful and test the fit of the parts (Brett Green review). This model contains a little more than 400 pieces  .

The box.

A fit test with the wings and fuselage. For now everything is perfect.

Some of the paints that will be used in the camouflage part of the model.

A test fit, and for now, wings and fuselage have a perfect fit.

Since I'm waiting for eduard mask and PE, I started by the engine. The sprue only with the parts for the engine. And there are still a few more.

This seems a bit complicated. It uses several colors and has to be assembled in blocks. In addition and following what Brett Green said in the review that made this model is necessary to always be fitting tests.

I've just looked at a review in the Airfix magazine so I'll be following your build as this looks like an interesting subject

Interesting but it's proving a bit complicated. I think I have a kit for a long time.

And after cutting, cleaning and gluing many pieces, it's time to use the airbrush.

I started with the engine.

Here the engine parts painted black already with some weathering.

The wheels with painted tire, missing the rim.
