model shops in West yorkshire

There are three I have found
there is Something wicked in Huddersfield (good stock of plastic kits)
leeds model shop (yes it's in Leeds) (mostly remote control stuff but good selection of plastic kits)
and millennI'm models in morley (model railways with some plastic kits)
been in all 3 and the staff are very friendly

There's also an excellent model shop in Halifax called "Halifax Modellers World", run by a chap called Dave Smith. Crammed with all sorts of models, planes, armour, sci fi, figures, cars, bikes etc.

Just come across a shop in Wakefield, never knew it existed, neither did my mate who lives on its doorstep almost!

It's all too common Models R Go has also gone

On a good note I did visit the Salisbury Model Centre in Salisbury last week, nice shop well stocked, kits are a little pricey and most other things are a bit dearer than on line. But you can't get paint on a Sunday off an online trader, you can form Salisbury Model Centre even if they're are a bit more, if you take into consideration the postage things get a little more level playing field.

Personally I'd rather pay a little bit more for a walk in, walk out service and on a Sunday we've got to support these shops or they'll all be gone
