Have always struggled with some aspects of PE, especially how not to lose bits when cutting them form the frets - I used to have bits of PE flying around like counters in a tiddly-winks contest!!

Watched the entire thing. The tools look pretty good (The Small Shop ones) but checking out how much they cost down here in Australia I fell off my chair, got back up and fell off again! Haha

The small shop tools do cost an arm and a leg, they will probably take your kidney while there at it... There are more affordable options out there I personally don't like the big bulky pe bending tools seem a bit over engineered for just bending photo etch...

A good old fashioned rubber mouse mat, dowels, round stock and some spring steel make a great alternative. As for a bending press I would start with RB Productions Flip-R and a heavy duty paper clip (the black ones with handles) 15 to 20 euro's and your good to go. Even if you go for all the special blades for the Flip-R you are still only half the amount out of pocket

I wouldn't call it over engineered its just accurate, i would rather pay once for the right tool than buy several cheaper options.

It just looks to me that the small shop break press could be used for way thicker material than photo-etch I do agree that you get what you pay for, but not all of use have the option of going for the luxurious and pricey options all the time and that's the point I was trying to get across.
