Airfix 1/72 IV Mustang RAF

I just finished the little 1/72 airfix starter set of the Mustang IV. Great little kit :)

An excellent finish.

I didn't realize the Brits had access to the Mustang. I thought it was exclusively American. Not to mention how effective the RAF's own domestic fighters were against the Germans makes me question if this is historically accurate or not.

I will investigate this with much interest... :think:

Ah! I see... We shipped some over to the UK as well as pretty much any nation that could pay the bill. :tongue:

Yes, wasn't the Allison engine was replaced with the Merlin Rolls Royce???... I believe due to poor altitude performance and more power
Love the sound of a Merlin at full tick
