Hello from a shed in Scunthorpe.....

Hi all, I usually try to say hello during the Friday Night Live thingy, but thought I'd say hello on here!

I've rediscovered modelling after the other half bought me a few kits a few years ago for Christmas, Airfix Vulcan, Bomber Command and a Ferrari 360. I started the Vulcan two years ago, couldn't get the wings to fit, and abandoned it.

Fast forward to March this year and I had a mental health issue that crept up on me , I sought help and dug the kits out again. I slapped some body filler on the vulcan wings, and after much sanding, had something looking Vulcanlike.....

Since then I've re-purposed the cave at the end of my garage, using recycled pallets to make a modellers den, heated, insulated with a collection of tunes, it's a good space for this hobby and my head, I'm under the approach flightpath for Robin Hood Airport (ex RAF Finningley and the home of Vulcan XH558) and firmly in Bomber County surrounded by WW2 airfields, my model making is punctuated by the sound of jets on idle coming in to land.

Airfix Bomber Command (Lancaster, Standard Tilly, Bedford Truck, Motorcycle, Scaffold tower, bomb trolleys etc)

Vintage Airfix Harrier found in a junk shop whilst on a weekend break...

Airfix Red Arrow Hawk
Revell Ferrari 360 Spider
Airfix P51 Mustang
Revell Bentley Blower
Airfix Eurofighter Typhoon

I'm not really into rivet counting, would rather see a nicely built object than a technically correct boring one...

Next projects? Quite fancy the Tamiya Mercedes AMG GT3 but equally drawn to an Avro Shackleton after looking round one at Newark Air Museum...
