Wishlists, rumours and hoped for kits

Post by Stokesy44 »

Hi All

Thought I'd post something on the above. Whether its kits we know are coming, kits that are rumoured to be out there or just what we'd like to see. What's on your list guys?

For me there's Kinetic's rumoured 1/24 Griffon engine Spitfire and a 1/24 B/C P51 Mustang from Trumpeter. On my wishlist are some new tool 1/48 four engined bombers, a B17 and a Lanc please Santa

Dragon advertised a whole range of Star Wars kits - including a 1/35 AT-AT  but they've never materialised. I would have loved to build a 1/35 Snowspeeder, X-Wing or TIE Fighter.

Armour wise, a new Panther with interior in 1/35 or maybe even in 1/16 :o
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

A new tool Vulcan would be fairly well-received.

I'm looking forward to the Tanmodel 1/48 Buccaneer when it's released, but not sure I'll have available time or money - second child on the way in March...

Seen some CAD images for the kit, looks very tasty.

Cant argue with his ability and vision. The circumstances and any potential culpability he carries are topics not for this forum.

But back to topic - I'm really looking forward to the ICM 1/48 HE 111, been waiting a while for that :)

I would also love to see a 1/48 Avro Shackleton come out (a big bird I know!) and I would love Eduard to bring out another Limited Edition Phantom, but the RAF FG.1

Yes indeed, there seems to be a lot of love for big scale multi-engine aircraft. As for the Phantom, what a magnificent beast that would be :o

I'm really wishing someone would release a new issue of a Panzer IV ausf. F2/G and a Panther Ausf. A hopefully with zimmerit moulded on. Preferably not by Dragon.

Beemax/Aoshima already announced a 1:24 Lancia Delta S4 and they hinted the release of a version of a Audio Quattro Sport... Been tracking their page but there's no sign of those...😞😞

Oh heck, I didn't realize they'd do one without interior too. I'll definitely be buying multiples of those.

Really hopeful this 1/20 Valkyrie actually gets produced...

YES! I would definitely go for a B-Wing. I had the toy as a kid and it was amazing. Surprised they even released it given its only in 2 shots in the movie. When the rebels jump to hyperspace and when they come out of it again! I read somewhere the ILM guys found it really hard to light and shoot the model, that's why its hardly in the movie.

The B-Wing pilot was super cool too in his red suit :o

Heh, the B-wing was the one I *didn't* have as a kid. Was envious of those who did, that cockpit...what a cool gimmick.

It has shown up as a prototype in the Rebels TV show (a prequel series) but it's animated, not live action. Not long after they steal their fleet of Y-Wings they arrange for the capture of the test ship and the schematics.

I've always liked 60s - 90s F1 cars not so keen on the later types thees more like planes on wheels. Tamiya did some lovely kits back in the 70s - 80s why they don't just keep making and improving them I'll never know :

Would love more of those exotic WW2 planes be it a bomber, fighter, jet, etc. Fw-200 would be nice too. It's one that hasn't received love from modelling companies.

A Dido (or Bellona) class CL would be interesting in a scale larger than 1/700, particularly if there was a '53 refit HMNZS Black Prince option. There's a couple larger paper card models, but the only plastic kit I know is the Fly Hawk 1/700 kit which Lee reviewed a while back.

Other than that, just more weird and wonderful stuff on the fringes of what's normally seen. Maybe it's just be but I kinda prefer the unusual to the iconic for the most part.

Edit: Almost forgot, those Takom 1/16 light tanks/tankettes are so cool, need more

:cheers2: That would be on everyone that's poor wishlist. I wouldn't mind that as well. But in reality it wouldn't be feasible economically.
