Absolutely! Jules Verne practically invented the genre, and that's a classic design I'd love to see built.
Nautilus .... very cool, had a hankering for one of these for a long time now.
Saw a vid on youtube where a guy painted his with a paint so heavy with iron that he actually got it to rust ... it looked fantastic.
I saw that video too.. that's what inspired me to buy this kit..

A bit on the fence about entering this one myself, since I don't have any 'general Sci-Fi' models as such. The only models I possess that fit into the Sci-Fi category are from my Warhammer 40,000 collection, which feels like a bit of a weak entry without doing one of the massive resin monstrosities which I know I would never finish :bash:

Anything sci-fi is valid, as long as you havnt started it yet, figure painting is as much a part of scale modelling as anything else and its something people struggle with. Your involvment may help someone improve their skills and thats a big part of what this forum is about.
Its my first SIG and im loving it, i would urge you to jump on in and enjoy the process. :thumb1:

Cant believe how well this SIG is going, its great to see so many builds going on from guys stepping out of their comfort zone to support the cause, seems we have some closet sci-fiers amongst us
Good luck everybody

Two Weeks Remain!

Post by Lysus »

All right, ladies and gents, only two weeks left to wrap up your builds! (Or start one).

I'm really pleased to see all the entries, and I can't thank the wonderful hosts here at ISM enough for allowing this to happen. Details regarding the reveals and awards to come soon.

Good luck!

I second both of these!

As mentioned in the threads this was my first venture into an ISM Sig and really enjoyed both participating and watching some of the amazing creativity and imagination on show in the build threads.
