Not so much a question as a publicity request if possible - there's three threads open on the forum to discuss potential non-ISM SiGs for this year so if people are interested could they pop in and let us know please?

Subjects are:
1. Bombers here
2. Scandinavian subjects here
3. 1/72 scale here

I’m taking my first steps on airbrushing and practise makes masters but my biggest problem is controlling that trigger with index finger. It’s more or less on/off- kind of spraying, it’s hard to find that spot in the middle. Question is, would it help to control trigger to put some kind of top filling on trigger (making it little bit longer) so the movement would be more controlled. Has someone tried it before? This idea came from gaming world where you can use thumbstick extenders on joysticks to add more precision and accuracy so would it be stupid for me to try it on airbrushing? Airbrush is Apex.

Do I need Micro Set to be used on a gloss surface? If so, what acrylic based gloss coats would you recommend for me to use? How do you guys use Micro-Set. I've seen Paul use it in the water and I've also read that you put Micro set on the spot you want the decals. The kit I'm working on is the Mig-31. It has a boat load of stencils. What do you recommend for me to do in order for me to not lose focus on the task of stenciling. Do you guys do the stencils first or the main markings first? For stenciling do you go from stencils 1, 2, 3, 4.... or pick a side and do all the stencils on that side, i.e. Port, Starboard, etc.

If you were to do it over again, would you collect a stash of kits or would you work one, then get another kit, finish that one and repeat?

Hey chaps

I have the Aries resin cockpit for my Tamiya 1/32 F-14. The instructions show shaded the areas to remove but at the rear if I remove what they say I'm going to chop the back off. Should I leave it be or shave some of the resin off - there's an indentation (see scribed line).

Cheers

Al
