Ism Friday's night live at the bench what have you been working on for *February 2nd and 9th*

Post by Kingdan »

"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?”

NEW! Starting this upcoming Friday, the Live! Crew will not only review your work, they will also pick their favorite build for the week. The entry with the most votes will win an ISM Goodie Bag! It is just one more reason to show us your work each week, so what are you waiting for?

**Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, February 2nd and 9th**

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.
05). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Been working on my Airfix 1/48 Stuka B1

I first painted the whole plane with Alclad Aluminium, then covered the underside in AK chipping fluid and as soon as the last coat of that dried put down some Tamiya XF-1 black, before adding a marble effect using the base colour (Mr Hobby Aqueous RLM65).

This time I tried only adding the marble effect inside the panels and left the panel lines black; this was to try and combine the effects from marbling and pre-shading. I am quite happy with the result

I then blended everything using the base colour and created very small chippings on the wing fronts and around access hatches

I had hoped to get the upper surface done this week, but then spilt my chipping fluid so had to order another, and yesterday damaged the nozzle in my airbrush so am now waiting for the replacement for that to arrive

Hop in let’s go for a spin!!!

Passenger compartment glued up, first red coat on, second red paint Friday night while I listen to you lot on the replay

Tamiya Tan+white to get to a Fine English Leather look with Ultimate white underneath. Ultimate black everything else.
Black Sharpie to make the lines on the seats, some dry brushing and Molotov pen for the silver highlights on dash
eBay 3-d aftermarket Ferrari stickers for logos...so like a real badge vs a flat decal. Loving that steering wheel
:cheers2: to a good weekend

Hello!

I've started building the Zvezda 1/72 Yak-130 (NATO codename "Mitten"). This is a really well-engineered kit that is a joy to build. Everything fits like a dream and Zvezda are not far behind Tamiya with this one.... :thumb2:

Image

Not much painting done yet except for Ultimate White Primer + Tamiya X-2 for the air intakes/funnels and Ultimate Gloss Black + AlcladII Stainless Steel for engine parts.

I been working on this mclaren F1 Gtr by fujimi with hobby designs detail set.
Sprayed the car with zero paints.
Used some of the PE parts in the cabin and engine bay, if any one decides to use hobby design set would help if you
Find some good ref pictures as the instruction aren't very clear.
I made some templets with tamiya tape for the carbon fibre decals which were used in the cabin and engine bay.
Made a start today on the decals.

as you will have seen on the forum and facebook, I managed to finish the Calsonic Skyline for the Car and Bike GB and for Pauls Skyline buddy build. I have also made a start on the Mig21 Buddy build and now I am at primer stage, all landing gear and armament has been primed all separate ready for paint. Although I have not built many, This Mig kit is one of the best fitting kits I have ever built.

I have been working on Revell's 1958 Corvette Roadster in 1:24 scale. I have painted the body using Zero Paints and Diamond 2k clear. Chrome parts have been stripped and painted in Alclad II Black Chrome (not shown due to photo limit). The interior colors have yet to be decided. It is a typical Revell kit with some parts needing some extra attention, but overall not too bad. This is my second attempt at using Zero Paints and Diamond 2k, please excuse the flaws!

Image

Full Paint Details:

Main body Primer: Zero Paint - Light Grey Primer [ZP-1440]
Main body Color: Zero Paint - Pagani Huayra Pearl Red [ZP-1440]

Accent Primer: Ultimate - Gloss Black
White Accent: Zero Paint - Pearl White [ZP-1029]
Silver Accent: Vallejo Model Air - Chrome [71.064]

Clear: Diamond Finish - 2 Pack GLOSS [ZP-3035]

I took the plunge into the Car/Bike GB and started my first car kit in about 40 years. This is Aoshima's 1/24 McLaren F1 GTR #41 from the 1998 Le Mans 24 hours. So far I've put together the front suspension, radiators and the engine. No major dramas yet but it's still early days. Painting has been done with Ultimate Black & Grey primers and mostly Vallejo Model Air with some Model Colour, Tamiya and Citadel to pick out the details.

Just in time to post this hopefully! This week my wife gave birth to our second child, so while she's still in the hospital and I've been looking after our little boy at home in the evenings I've been working on getting this Airfix Bf109E-3 completed - just finished the Weathering as you can see. Streaks were made using Mig panel line washes and Ultimate dark dirt...i hope it's not too much!

Dragon 1/35 Super tank "Mause"

Just one of the builds I tinker with, during the Friday live shows, Very easy kit to build, just many hours of cleaning up of parts due to it's age. Started to assemble the tracks prior to fitting, before heading to the spray booth and a base coat of Ultimate primer.

Hey all!
First time I've commented on a live chat!
I'm currently working on a 1/72 Matchbox F4 Corsair in RAF markings:
Image
I really like the idea, maybe not the thought of the price, of a 1/72 C-17, would go nicely with my C-130 and A400M in the same scale.
