Model Stolen at IPMS Telford 2017

Post by AlexBB »

Hi Guys,
Hope its OK to post this here just to get this further out into the Modelling community.

An IPMS Member from Bristol had a model stolen from the IPMS Show in Telford last year, it has now been 14 weeks since it was taken so the presumption it was picked up in error has now been discounted.

I know I would be totally gutted if this happened to me! :eeek: :eeek:

So just a heads up to keep your eyes peeled for the model in the picture.... Clearly if stolen this could now be anywhere.

What a stupid thing for someone to do
It isn't your work, you cannot display it in public and basically the perpetrator is a creep
I cannot imagine stuffing that down my pants and sauntering out the door

What do they have for pants, a tent? I abhor those people who steal other people's stuff. Had a similar experience but not in modelling. It is a devastating thing to have happen. This happened not once but several times, and each one I was to the point of tears. The worst one was that I had car tools in the trunk of my car, MTG (Magic the Gathering) cards and a stereo face plate stolen (Main stereo part stayed while the outer part taken). When I discovered it I went to my mother and I bawled.

Beats me why someone would do a thing like that :?

Hope it gets returned to it's owner.
It might be an idea to check eBay to see if it shows up, but it's not very likely I guess.... :(

:x

Scumbags are present everywhere. It is a shame that such a cool event has such a thing happen. The asshat that did that obviously wasn't a modeller.

Here in the states we call people like that "Entitled". They feel entitled to have hours of someone else's work to become their own.

You misspelled "Affluenza."

All kidding aside, what a terrible thing for someone to do.

It's a disease ! So many people think they have missed out on something in life so what ever they have to do to make right in their eyes is OK.
